When you first run the add-on, Google will prompt you to
authorize the required permissions. You'll see a consent
screen explaining what data the add-on can access:
Gmail™ read access — to read email metadata
for exports.
Google Sheets™ access — to write exported
data to your spreadsheet.
Click "Allow" to grant permissions. The
add-on uses Google's secure OAuth 2.0 protocol — your password
is never shared with us.
Open a Google Sheets™ spreadsheet.
Go to
Extensions > Email Exporter for Google Sheets™ >
Open.
In the sidebar, configure your
filters (label, sender, date range).
Click "Export".
The email metadata will be appended to your active sheet.
If you encounter authorization errors, try the following
steps:
Revoke and re-authorize: Go to
Google Account Permissions, find "Email Exporter for Google Sheets™", click
Remove Access, then re-open the add-on to
authorize again.
Check your browser: Ensure pop-ups are not
blocked, as the authorization window may open in a popup.
Clear cache: Try clearing your browser's
cache and cookies, then attempt authorization again.
Use a supported browser: The add-on works
best in Google Chrome.
No. Email data is processed in real-time and
written directly to your Google Sheets™ spreadsheet. We do not
store, cache, or transmit your email data to any external
servers. All data remains within your Google Workspace™
account. See our Privacy Policy for
full details.
